Paralympic 2024 Para-Archery: Sarita, Rakesh advance, Shyam loses tiebreaker- Highlights
Sarita will be in action against Nur Jannaton Abdul Jalil in the round of 32, Rakesh will face Aliou Drame, Shyam Sundar up against Comsan Singpirom.

Day two of the Para-Archery events at the Paralympic Games 2024 will feature the round of 32 knockout events in individual compound archery in both men and women.
Sarita and Rakesh qualified to the round of 16 with comfortable wins over their opponents, whereas Shyam suffered a heartbreaking exit, losing out to Thailand archer Comsan Singpirom in a tie-breaker.

Here is the format of the event!
Here is a refresher on the format for the compound archery:
The match will be competed in five rounds, each round having three arrows each for the para-athletes.
At the end of five rounds (15 arrows in total for each archer), the archer with most points wins the game.
In case of a tie, we go to a tie-breaker shoot and if the score remains the same even then, the arrow that is closest to the center is deemed the winning shot.
