Paralympic 2024 Para-Archery: Sarita, Rakesh advance, Shyam loses tiebreaker- Highlights
Sarita will be in action against Nur Jannaton Abdul Jalil in the round of 32, Rakesh will face Aliou Drame, Shyam Sundar up against Comsan Singpirom.
Day two of the Para-Archery events at the Paralympic Games 2024 will feature the round of 32 knockout events in individual compound archery in both men and women.
Sarita and Rakesh qualified to the round of 16 with comfortable wins over their opponents, whereas Shyam suffered a heartbreaking exit, losing out to Thailand archer Comsan Singpirom in a tie-breaker.

Shyam starts off well with a 9, and follows it up with a 10! He finishes round one with a 9, a great start for the Indian
Comsan starts with a perfect 10! But he falters in his second shot, shooting only an 8, and finishes with a 9!
The Indian has a one-point lead on the Thai at the end of round one!

Aliou finally scores his first 10 of the match! He follows that with yet another 10! Aliou finishes with a 9
Rakesh also opens with a 10! He follows that with a 9 and ends his quota with another 9!
Job done for the world no.1 in very challenging conditions.

Another 9 for Aliou in his first shot of round four, he follows that with an 8 and ends his round with another 8
It was a shaky start for Rakesh, opening with an 8 and in his second attempt, hits a 9. He finishes his round with a 9

Rakesh hits a 10 despite getting soaked in the rain! He follows that up with an 8, with the rain running down both archer's eyes, but shakes it off with a huge 10 in his final arrow of round three!
