Paralympics 2024 Para-Shooting: Nihal Singh, Amir Ahmad bows out in Qualifications - Highlights
Catch the highlights of Indian para-shooters' performances at the Paris Paralympics 2024 on Monday.

After an unfortunate day where the Indian shooters couldn't qualify for the finals in the Mixed 10m Air Rifle SH1 and SH2 events, Indian shooters looked for an improved show on Monday.
Two Indian para-shooters Nihal Singh and Amir Ahmad Bhat were in action today in the Mixed 25m Pistol Qualifications - Precision and Rapid.
Both the shooters stayed in the mix, till the last series, but an unfortunate mistake in the last series took them out of the competition.
Nihal finished in 10th with 569 points and Amir finished in 11th position with 568 points.

Mixed 25m Pistol Precision Qualification Results
Nihal Singh with a 97 in the last series of the precision, helped him to climb to the 4th position. Meanwhile, some consistent shooting from Amir takes him up to the 8th spot.

Mixed 25m Pistol Precision Qualification Results
Nihal Singh with a 97 in the last series of the precision, helped him to climb to the 4th position. Meanwhile, some consistent shooting from Amir takes him up to the 8th spot.

Series 3 ( Shot 26th to 30th ): Indians stay in the mix
Nihal started the last 5 shots of the precision round from 2 back-to-back 9s and followed it up with a better 2 back-to-back 10s and finished the last shot of the precision round with a 10 to get 97 in the 3rd series, climbing to the 4th place.
Meanwhile, Amir Ahmad shot 3 10s and 2 9s and ended up within the top 8,

Series 3 ( Shot 21st to 25th): Nihal moves to Top 8 & Amir back in Top 10
Nihal & Amir start the 3rd series with a 10.
Nihal completes a hattrick of 10s, hits a 9 and a 10 to complete 25th shots, and stays in the top 8.
Amir hits a 9 and bounces back with 3 10s, and moves to the top 10.

Series 2 ( Shot 16th to 20th): A hattrick of 9s by Nihal, stays in top-10
After hitting 2 10s, Nihal slips to the 9s managing a total of 47 and a total of 94 in the second series, he remains in the top-10.
Meanwhile, Amir Ahmad upped her series score from 94 to 95 by shooting one ten and four consecutive nines in the last 5 shots of the 2nd series.
Amir gets back to the 14th position

Series 2 ( Shots 11th to 15th): Indians in the top-10
Nihal Singh at 8th, Amir Ahmad Bhat at 9th after 15 shots.
Amir with a 49/50, and Nihal with three 9s and two 10s.

Series 1 ( Shots 6th to 10th): Three 10s and a two 9s by Nihal, stays in top-8
Amir comes with 2 10s and 3 9s, at joint 14th position.

Series 1 ( Shots 1st to 5th): Nihal in Joint Sixth
Nihal began with a round of 48 with three 10s and two 9s.
Amir Bhat, at joint 16th with a round of 47 hitting the first three shots at 9 and converted the last 2 to 10s.

LIVE: Mixed 25m Pistol SH1 Qualification Precision
A total of 25 para-shooters will be competing in the Mixed 25m Pistol SH1 qualifications.
A total of 6 female athletes will also compete in the line-up of a total of 25 shooters.
The Precision Stage will consist of 30 shots, in six series of 5 shots, each series is 5 minutes and shot on a Precision target.
After all competitors have completed the Precision Stage, they then fire the Rapid Fire Stage on a Rapid Fire target, which is scheduled later in the day.
Indian shooters Nihal Singh & Amir Ahmad Bhat will be in action in the Precision event first.
