Paralympics 2024 Para-Shooting: Avani, Siddharta & Sriharsha bows out of Qualifications- Highlights

After two successful days at the Chateauroux Shooting Centre, India currently leads the para-shooting medal table with four medals at the Paralympics in Paris.
Rubina Francis won a bronze medal in the 10m Air Pistol SH1 event on Saturday.
On Sunday, India had three athletes competing, starting with Avani Lekhara and Siddharta Babu in the 10m Air Rifle Prone SH1 mixed team event, followed by Sriharsha Ramakrishna Devaraddi in the Mixed 10 Air Rifle Prone SH2.
All three shooters bowed out of the competitions after failing to finish in the top 8 in their respective qualifications and failed to qualify for the finals.

Series 1( Shots 6th to 10th): An Impressive 105.7 by Avani
Avani finished the first series with a score of 105.7 and stayed in the top 8.
Fine margins at the range, Siddartha with a 104.6, way back at the 27th position.

Series 1 ( Shot 1st to 5th): Indian hits the Bull's Eye
A total of 53.1 points by Avani in the first 5 shots.
She started with 10.7,10.5,10.3 followed by a bull's eye of 10.9, ending with another 10.7
Avani stays in top-8.
Meanwhile, Siddharta Babu also hit the bull's eye once and completed with 52.4 points after the first 5 shots.

LIVE: Mixed 10m Air Rifle Prone SH1 Qualification
A total of 35 para-shooters will take the range consisting of 14 women shooters.
A total of 60 shots, in a series of 10 will be fired, with the bull's eye of 10.9 points.
The top 8 shooters will qualify for the Final, scheduled to start at 4:30 PM.
The current Paralympic qualification record stands at 638.9 by Jinho Park of South Korea just 0.3 behind the world record of 640.2 by Slovakia's Veronika Vadovicova.
Avani Lekhara has a personal best of 633.1 and Siddharta Babu has a personal best qualification score of 632.0.

Starting from 10m Air Rifle Prone SH1 Qualifications, we'll be witnessing Avani Lekhara and Siddharta Babu in action in some time, followed by Sriharsha Devaraddi's qualification round in the same event but SH2 category, later in the day.
Both events have scheduled finals for today starting from 4:30 PM.
