Paralympics 2024 Para-Shooting: Avani wins Gold, Manish wins Silver, Mona wins Bronze - Highlights
Along with the two events, the mixed team air rifle standing (SH 2) qualification and medal event will take place today.

Shooting Para-Sport events at the Paris Paralympics begin today, starting at 12:30 PM, IST.
The first event is the women's 10m air rifle standing (SH1) qualification. It will be followed by the men's 10m air pistol (SH1) qualification and the mixed team air rifle standing (SH 2) qualification.
All three events will conclude today, with the finals scheduled for later in the day.

Avani & Mona likely to qualify for the Finals
With, the last series of shots remaining for a few athletes. Avani and Mona are likely to qualify for the finals after a top-4 finish by the Indian shooters.

Series 6: Avani falters at start missed Paralympic record by 0.2
After a series of disappointing shots at the beginning, Avani bounced back to finish in the top-2, just after Iryna.
Avani's final rounds score was 103.1 and she missed the paralympic record by just 0.2 points. Avani's final score - 625.8.
Mona Agarwal had a promising last 10 shots with 105.5 points the last series. She finished with a total of 623.1 at the fourth position.

Ukraine's Iryna Shchetnik breaks the Paralympic Qualifying Record
Iryna surpassed the score of 626.0 set by China's Zhang Cuiping at the Tokyo Paralympics.
The latest paralympic record is at 627.5 set by Iryna.

After Series 4: Avani Lekhara climbs to the Top, Mona slips to 6th
Avani Lekhara comes up with a 105.3 series and climbed to the top.
While, a series of sub 10.2 scores by Mona Agarwal managed to score 102.4 and sits at 6th position.

Mona Agarwal with an impressive 103.8 and Avani Lekhara with a 103.4, have climbed to to the top-5 positions.

Avani Lekhara has another good series, getting 105.5 in the second series. She now sits third with 229.6 points in total and is already into her third series of shots.
Mona Agarwal got 103.4 in her second series and three shots into the third series, she sits in fourth place with currently.
