Paralympics 2024 Para-Rowing: Anita-Narayana finish fifth, move to repechage round

India’s Anita and Narayana Konganapalle finished fifth in the PR3 Mixed Double Sculls heats clocking 8:06.84s at the Paralympics 2024 in Paris, on Friday.
They managed to finish ahead of Thailand, who finished last clocking 8:45.92s.
To secure a direct spot in Final A, which is the medal race, the Indian pair needed to win their heat. They, however, managed to finish only fifth. They have now moved into the repechage round.
The 2022 Asian Games silver medalists remained in fifth position throughout the 2000m course at the Vaires-sur-Marne Nautical Stadium in Paris.
Australia secured a direct qualification to the final with a Paralympic Games Best (PGB) time of 7:11.30, just shy of their world record time of 7:07.02.
The Indian pair will compete in the repechage round on Saturday, where they must finish in the top two to advance to the medal round.
