Paralympics 2024: Indians in action on August 30, Schedule, timings

Indian para-athletes began their journey at the Paris Paralympic Games on Thursday as the group stage action kickstarted in para-badminton. Whereas, the star archer, Sheetal Devi, finished second in the ranking round, scoring a personal best of 703.

However, there were plenty of disappointments on the first day as the para-taekwondo athlete, Aruna Tanwar and para-cyclist Jyoti Gadheriya failed to impress and suffered an early exit from the competition.

The action will now speed up in Paris as two of the biggest sporting disciplines, Para-shooting and Para-athletics will be unveiled on Friday. The Defending champion, Avani Lekhara of India will also be in action tomorrow.
