Incredible! Daphne Schrager breaks Hausberger's record!
What a qualifying heats we have witnessed!
Daphne Schrager, whose record was broken by Hausberger just two heats back, takes back her world record in the C2 category by nearly four seconds in her heats!
She will also race for the gold medal against China's Wang Xiaomei, whereas Germany's Maike Hausberger will race Flurina Rigling of Switzerland for the bronze medal.

She finishes her race in 3:44.660s. What an incredible set of races going on at track cycling!

Maike Hausberger breaks the world record for C2 category!
In what was a brilliant race by the German, Hausberger finished her 3000m in just 3:49.444s and broke the Paralympic and world record!

Jyothi finishes well behind her Colombian opponent!
Munevar Florez finishes her heats with a timing of 4:14.667s whereas the Indian finishes much later, with a timing of 4:53.929s.
At the end of all the heats, the top two with the best timing will compete for the gold medal, whereas the 3rd and 4th best finishes will take part in the bronze medal race.

Although the qualifying rounds are about timings, Jyothi is well behind Munevar Florez at the halfway point of this race.
