Sheetal Devi reaches her third straight final at World Archery Para Series
She advanced to the women’s compound Individual final in Ahmedabad and will fight for her first title on 9th September.

Reigning world champion Sheetal Devi reached her third consecutive Individual final at the World Archery Para Series 2026 in Ahmedabad on Monday.
The 19-year-old defeated senior compatriot Sarita 145-143 in the women's compound semi-final to book her place in the title clash against Kazakhstan’s Aizada Seidan.
Having finished runner-up in the previous two stages in Thailand and Czechia, Sheetal will now look to claim her first title on the circuit in front of a home crowd on Septemebr 9th.
The World Archery Para Series is the World Cup circuit for para archers. In its inaugural edition this year, the series features five stages, with Ahmedabad hosting Stage 3 from September 5 to 9.
Earlier, Sheetal, alongside Rakesh Kumar, had also set a new world record in the ranking round of the Para Mixed Compound team event, scoring 1400/1440.
In the men's compound Individual event, Toman Kumar will fight for a bronze medal against Abbas Kadhim, after losing his semi-final 144-146 to Ken Swagumilang of Indonesia.
Bhawna misses out on third straight final
Two-time World Para Archery Series stage winner Bhawna suffered her first defeat on the circuit this year, losing in a shoot-off to Iran’s Somayeh Rahimi in the recurve semi-final.
The result ended her hopes of completing a hat-trick of titles. She will now contest the bronze medal match against compatriot Rajshri Rathod in an all-Indian clash.
Meanwhile, there is no medal for India in the men's recurve individual, as none of the four archers reached the last four, including Paralympic champion Harvinder Singh, who bowed out in the round of 16.
