“No more family’s rule in sports federations,” says Narinder Batra

Dr. Narinder Dhruv Batra, President of Indian Olympic Association (IOA) and President of International Hockey Association (FIH) on Sunday assured the members of various recognised sports associations in Jammu and Kashmir that all the left out Olympic sports associations will be included in the JKOA member list for the forthcoming election of the body.

Dr. S M Bali, Joint Secretary of IOA and President of J&K Ice Hockey Association, welcomed Dr. Batra at a function held to felicitate him.

Batra assured that soon a sports code will be into the picture where the family rule in sports federations and associations will get over and only deserving candidates will get the opportunity to run sports associations professionally. If a person has held some primary office-bearer’s post in an Association, after his term expires, his family member immediately cannot take up the post, which is happening every now and then.
