Indian tennis star Ankita Raina is having a stupendous run on the court. On Saturday, Ankita with her Dutch partner Bibiane Schoof beat China's Jia-Qi Kang and Japan's Miyabi Inoue 6-3, 3-6, 10-7 in the final of the doubles event of Nonthaburi in the $25,000 ITF Thailand 02A tournament.

It was a hard-fought victory for the Indo-Dutch pair who clinched the title after the match went down the wire in a tie-breaker, with both the pairs registering equal margin wins in the two sets that were played. Ankita and Schoof won 9 games against their opponents' 8 and picked up 60 points against 52.

Ankita's victory comes a week after she won the singles and doubles crown in Nonthaburi in the $25,000 ITF Thailand 01A tournament. Ankita and Schoofs had stormed into the women’s doubles final yesterday as their opponent Romania’s Nicoleta Dascălu and Switzerland’s Simona Waltert was forced to retire during 1st set of the semi-final. The Indo-Dutch pair was leading 4-1 in the first set.
