Table tennis: Indians win gold, silver & bronze at U-21 Men's event in Oman Open
It was a dream final day for Indians U-21 men paddlers who bagged all the top honours at the Oman Open on Saturday.
With four Indians participating in the tournament, all four of them bagged silverware. Bengal lad, 20-year-lad Jeet Chandra defeated compatriot Manav Thakkar 3-0 to lift the gold. Chandra pulled off a dominating show to win the final tie 11-6, 11-7, 13-11 against the Gujrat boy who had to settle for a silver.

Chandra had a near-flawless run in the tournament who defeated Oman Madh Al-Shahi 3-0 in the quarters, followed by another 3-0 win over Indian compatriot Utpalbhai Manush Shah in the semis, leading the latter to finish with a bronze medal.
On the other hand, Thakkar defeated Oman's Issa Al-Riyami 3-0 in the quarters followed by 3-2 a win over another Indian Snehit Suravajjula in the semis. Suraj also finished with a bronze in the tie.
