Indian shooter from Rajasthan, Apurvi Chandela has pledged to contribute Rs 3 lakh to the PM CARE Fund and Rs 2 lakh to the Rajasthan Chief Minister's relief fund on April 1 in the fight against coronavirus pandemic.

Former World number one is the one of the strongest contender from the Indian squad for the summer games. She has also appealed to people to stay inside their houses and stay safe in a video where she talks about how paying digitally can minimise the risk of contracting the virus.

Like a lot of sports persons, Apurvi has also come up for the help of the government in handling the situation in a better way and contributed to their efforts financially.

Lastly, the 27-year-old was seen at Olympic trials at Dr. Karni Singh Range in Tughlaqabad on March 18 when the virus had only started to be identified in India. She finished last in that event while Shreya Singh had won the trials.
