Chinki Yadav earns India's second Olympics quota at the ongoing Asian Shooting Championship as she finished sixth in the finals of 25m pistols event on Friday in Doha, Qatar.

In quaification she shot an exceptional 296 today to reach a total of 588 and made it to the Final. she came behind Thailand's Naphaswan Yangpainboon, who shot 590 to finish at the top.The 21-yr-old daughter of an electrician from Bhopal, Chinki, won the 11th Olympics quota for Indians in shooting as 4 shooters out of 8 in Final already had quota and chinki was among rest four finalists eligible for quota.

Chinki first came to limelight in 2017 after winning team bronze at the junior world championship. In June this year, she won the gold medal in national selection trials and a silver in the national championship. According to an old report in Times of India, Chinki's father Mehtab Singh Yadav has been associated as an electrician in the sports department for 23 years.

On Thursday, Chinki shot 292 and which allowed her to take a shot at clinching one of the four available Tokyo berths. Rahi Sarnobat has already secured the other quota place for India in the event in earlier competitions.

Apart from Chinki, Vivaan Kapoor and Esha Singh won two gold each as India dominated the junior competitions, where they have accounted for 18 of the 23 medals won so far by the country.

The icing on the cake at the Lusail Shooting complex was the 1-2 finish in the junior men’s trap competition where Vivaan shot his way to an individual gold with compatriot Bhowneesh Mendiratta following him through the day to clinch silver.
