National games 2025, Day 6: Velavan Senthilkumar wins squash singles gold- Highlights

A variety of sports competitions are taking place across multiple venues, including aquatics, badminton, football, squash, weightlifting, boxing, yogasana, archery, basketball, lawn bowls, rowing, track cycling, and shooting, on Monday at the National games.
The day is packed with matches, heats, and finals, with events starting as early as 6:00 AM and continuing into the evening.

Badminton: Sathish v/s Suryaksh
Meanwhile, the top seeded Sathish Kumar Karunakaran will take on Suryaksh Rawat in the men's singles final.
Sathish made quick work of Kaushal Dharmamer 21-10, 21-9, whereas Suryaksh took down second seeded Saneeth DS 13-21, 22-20, 21-19 in a hard fought encounter.

Badminton: Anupama reaches Final
The women's singles final in badminton is set. Anupama Upadhayay will face Anmol Kharb in the final.
Upadhayay comes from behind to beat Shreya Lele 17-21, 21-19, 21-15.

Badminton: Anmol Kharb reaches Final
The young Anmol Kharb is through to the women's singles final in badminton.
She beat Tasnim Mir 21-16, 16-21, 21-19 in a hard fought encounter.
Kharb will now face the winner of the second semi-final between Anupama Upadhyay and Shreya Lele in the gold medal match.

Dhinidhi Desinghu betters 400m freestyle National record
Yet another national record for the teenaged Dhinidhi Desinghu. She clocks 4:24.60s to take the gold medal in the women's 400m freestyle final.

Keerthi Rangaswamy bagged the gold medal for Karnataka in the Women's 10km Elite Scratch Race.
Chayanika Gogoi of Assam pockets silver, while Meenakshi wins bronze for Haryana.

Velavan Senthilkumar wins the men's singles gold medal for Tamil Nadu in Squash. He beats Maharashtra's Rahul 3-0.

Punjab Mehak Sharma shatters all three national records in women's +87kg Weightlifting.
She lifts 106kg in snatch, 141kg in clean and jerk for a total of 247kg.
