The 16-year-old from Bengaluru clinched the title after winning two prestigious single-seater National Championships in the MRF MMSC FMSCI Indian National Car Racing Championships in 2024. In his debut season in single-seater racing, Mohan dominated the MRF 1600cc National Championship, notching up 10 wins from 12 races.
Mohan showcased his driving prowess, maintaining an unbeaten record with a combination of raw speed and tactical skill. While he faced a challenge in the final race, he comfortably secured the title, finishing well ahead of his competitors.
“I am elated by the atmosphere here,” Mohan said at the prize-giving event.
“This is my first major championship in single-seater Formula cars, and what an amazing season it has been. Although I won a National title in karting, this one feels huge and is very special for me," he added.
He is now expected to do well in 2025.
