India continued their flawless campaign in the Kho Kho World Cup 2025 with a commanding 71-34 victory over Bhutan at the IG Indoor Stadium in New Delhi. The win secured India’s place at the top of Group A, guaranteeing their progression to the quarter-finals.
The match began with India’s attacking brilliance, amassing 32 points in the first turn, aided by some excellent sky diving from the players. The second turn saw the Indian team demonstrate their defensive mastery, effectively neutralizing Bhutan’s attacks, who could only manage 18 points in three batches.
The third turn was marked by an impressive display of offensive power, as Nikhil’s stellar sky diving skills helped India collect another 36 points. Bhutan struggled in their final turn, managing just 9 points, as India continued their relentless pursuit of victory, sealing the win with a dominant 37-point margin.
India vs Malaysia – Spectacular 80-Point Victory
The Indian women’s Kho Kho team delivered a flawless performance against Malaysia, registering a massive 80-point victory that solidified their top spot in Group A. The win set up a quarter-final clash with Bangladesh.
The match began with both teams level after the first turn, but India quickly took control in the second turn, building a commanding 44-6 lead. Strong performances from Monika and Nirmala Bhati kept Malaysia at bay, and a well-executed Dream Run led by Subhashree Sing in the third turn extended India’s lead further to 48-20.
India maintained their dominance in the final turn, wrapping up their third straight win in the tournament. The team’s strategy, combined with standout individual efforts, ensured their position in the knockout stages as one of the tournament’s strongest contenders.
