Pro Kabaddi Season 8: List of players bought and retained by all the teams

We take a look at the auction highlights of all the teams ahead of the Pro Kabaddi League Season 8 set to begin in December

The auctions for the Pro Kabaddi League ended just yesterday with eager kabaddi fans tuning in to see where their favourite players went. The teams were meeting after a long time and the list of players up for auction numbered more than 100. We take a look at all the teams and a few of their retained/bought players.


Bengal Warriors

Maninder Singh and Mohammed Nabibaksh were two of the elite retained players alongside Rinku Narwal. Bengal ensured they filled up their quota of Category C domestic players with acquisitions such as Manoj Gowda, Rohit Banne, Darshan J and Sachin Vittalla.

Bengaluru Bulls

Pawan Sherawat and Amit Sheoran were the two elite retained players. Bengaluru will be happy with their business as they managed to spread out their spending into all categories. Chandran Ranjit and Mahender Singh were the Category A domestic acquisitions while Dong Jeon Lee and Ziaur Rahman were two of the three foreign acquisitions.

Dabang Delhi

Vijay Kumar and Naveen Kumar were the elite players who were retained by the team from Delhi. The most expenditure was on Category B domestic players such as Joginder Narwal, Jeeva Kumar, Sanjeev Narwal and Ajay Thakur. They also have existing new young players such as Balram, Sumit, Mohit and Neeraj Narwal.

Gujarat Giants

Defenders, Parvesh Bhainswal and Sunil Kumar were the elite retained players this year. Gujarat filled up their category C players with the likes of Pardeep Kumar, Maninder Singh, Harshit Yadav and Ajay Kumar amongst others.

Haryana Steelers

Vikash Kandola was the elite retained raider. Just like Gujarat, Haryana to filled up their category C with players like Ajay Ghangas, Brijendra Chaudhary, Rajesh Narwal and Rajesh Gurjar. They also signed Category A player Rohit Gulia for 83 lakh.

Jaipur Pink Panthers

Defenders Amit Hooda and Vishal were the two elite retained players. Deepak Hooda and Sandeep Dhull were great acquisitions in the Category A section. In Category B, Arjun Deshwal was signed for 96 lakh along with Naveen and Dharmaraj.

Patna Pirates

Patna Pirates retained Neeraj Kumar and Monu along with buy Jangkun Lee in the foreign players category. Patna will be happy with the Category A signings that include Sachin Tanwar and Prashanth Kumar Rai.

Puneri Paltan

Balasaheb Shahaji Jadhav, Pawan Kumar Kadian, Hadi Tajik, were the three retentions by Puneri Paltan. They made their team stronger with the singings of Vishal, Baldev Singh and Rahul Chaudhari in the Category A section.


Tamil Thalaivas

The trio OF Sagar, Himanshu and Abhishek were all retained by the Thalaivas. The team also went heavily in Category A signings and got Surjeet Singh, Prapanjan and Manjeet for a combined total of 2 crores 38 lakhs.

Telugu Titans

Rakesh Gowda was the sole elite retained player in this category. The team made a stellar acquisition in Cateogry a with the signing of Siddharth Desai for 1.3 crores along with Surender Singh and Rohit Kumar. They also bought Cateogory D players Amit Chauhan and Raju.

U Mumba

Fazel Atrachali, Abhishek Singh, Ajinkya Rohidas Kapre, Harendra Kumar were the elite players retained. The other category was C which saw a lot of activity with the signings of Rinku, Ajeet, Rahul Rana, Ashish Kumar and Pankaj.

UP Yoddha

Nitesh Kumar was the defender and elite player who was retained. It was UP Yoddah who bought famed raider Pardeep Narwal for 1.65 crores along with Srikant Jadhav. They also spent money on Category C players with signings of Sahil, Gaurav, Gurdeep, Gulveer, Ankit and Aashish.
