Patna Pirates thrashed Bengaluru Bulls 54-29, while Jaipur Pink Panthers beat Telugu Titans 41-28.
Saturday saw thrilling kabaddi action at the Noida Indoor Stadium in Pro Kabaddi League (PKL) Season 11, with two exciting matches showcasing some remarkable performances.
The Patna Pirates returned to their dominant form, securing a massive 54-29 victory over Bengaluru Bulls. The win was built on a solid team effort, with the raiding duo of Devank Dalal and Ayan Lohchab delivering stellar performances. Devank, with 17 points, and Ayan, with 13 points, led the charge for Patna, while Shubham Shinde also played a key role in defence, contributing with a High 5 and securing crucial Super Tackles.
The match began with Patna Pirates taking an early lead, thanks to Ayan’s swift raids. Although Pardeep Narwal and Nitin Rawal kept the Bulls competitive, Patna inflicted an ALL OUT in the first half, leading 22-12 at the break. A second ALL OUT early in the second half put the Pirates in a commanding position. Despite a brief fightback from Bengaluru Bulls, including a stunning Super Raid by Pardeep, Patna Pirates maintained control. Another ALL OUT in the final minute sealed a dominant 25-point victory for the three-time champions.
In the second match of the day, the Jaipur Pink Panthers staged an impressive comeback to beat the Telugu Titans 41-28. Despite trailing for most of the first half, Jaipur stormed back in the second half to clinch a well-deserved win.
Arjun Deshwal, who became the second youngest player to reach 1100 raid points in PKL history, led the charge for Jaipur with a Super 10. Neeraj Narwal also contributed with a Super 10 of his own. On the other hand, Vijay Malik shone for the Telugu Titans, completing his own Super 10.
The match began cautiously, with both teams trading points, but the Telugu Titans managed to pull ahead thanks to Vijay Malik’s raids. Despite a strong showing in the first half, where they inflicted an ALL OUT late in the period, the Titans and Jaipur went into the break tied at 18-18.
The Pink Panthers came out strong in the second half, with Arjun Deshwal and Neeraj Narwal taking charge. After another ALL OUT, Jaipur extended their lead, and despite a late rally from the Titans, Jaipur held firm and secured a 13-point victory.
