Telugu Titans registered a crucial win over second-placed U Mumba, winning 31-29 in the 2024 edition of the Pro Kabaddi League, on Wednesday.

Dabang Delhi and Gujarat Giants played out an enthralling 39-39 draw earlier in the day.

With the win, the Titans are now in fifth spot, tied with Puneri Paltans on 37 points, while U Mumbai continue to be in second spot with 40 point, one behind leaders Haryana Steelers, having played a game more.

The first half between the Titans and U Mumba was an even contest, with both teams going in at 12-12.

But the second half saw the Titans put on a tremendous tackling performance, as their defenders were on top form, becoming the difference in the game.

Just in the second half, the Titans had won nine tackle points, as opposed to U Mumba's five.

U Mumba's superior raiding game was in vain as the Titans eventually outscored the U Mumba 31-29.

In the first match of the day, Dabang Delhi and Gujarat Giants played out an entertaining draw.

Delhi went in at halftime as the leaders, with a three-point advantage over Gujarat, at 20-17.

But Gujarat fought back valiantly in the second half, scoring 22 points as opposed to Delhi's 19, thereby ending in a tie.

Ashu Malik of Delhi was the star performer, securing 11 points for his side, winning the Emerging Player of the day award, thanks to his three tackle points and one super tackle as well.

Telugu Titans are back in action immediately, facing Bengal Warriors tomorrow at 8:00 PM, whereas Bengaluru Bulls will entertain Haryana Steelers at 9:00 PM.
