It is day 16 of PKL 2021 and tonight we have three teams from the top half of the points table in action. First up the three-time champion Patna Pirates will take on the Tamil Thalaivas followed by a rampaging Bengaluru Bulls up against a struggling Jaipur Pink Panthers.

Less than 5 minutes left in the contest and the Thalaivas have a slender 1 point lead. More importantly for them their star Ajinkya Pawar has been sent out after a long deliberation by the TV umpire.

He did not start today either. Came in as a substitute and has completed his Super 10, ONCE AGAIN. What a star the Thalaivas have unearthed.

The Thalaivas have made a wonderful comeback in the past 10 minutes and have taken the lead. Their raiders - Ajinkya and Athul, have finally stitched together a few points and have unsettled the Pirates' defence.

The Pirates have been wiped out and the Thalaivas have taken a one-point lead. STUNNING COMEBACK.

The Thalaivas have comeback strong post halftime. They have reduced the Pirates to three men, thanks to some good raids from Athul MS and Ajikya Pawar.

HALF TIME!
That's the end of first half and Patna Pirates have made a beautiful comeback. Their defence has done well while Monu Goyat and Prashanth Rai have brought in the raid points. The only worry for them would be Sachin Tanwar not opening his account in the first 20 minutes.
The Thalaivas, on the other hand, need to thank their captain Surjeet for keeping them in the contest.

The Thalaivas have been wiped out, thanks to Monu Goyat. Gets a touch on Himanshu, tackles Ajinkya Pawar and then Surjeet surrenders being the lone man.
