Dabang Delhi's veteran raider Ajay Thakur has been ruled out of the ongoing PKL 2021 due to an injury, the team management announced via a press release. He will be replaced by the K7 Kabaddi star Nitin Panwar.

"In the ongoing season 8 of the Vivo Pro Kabaddi League, Ajay Thakur (Raider) has been replaced by Nitin Panwar (Raider) for the remainder of the league/tournament. Ajay Thakur is suffering with a injury and he won't be available to play for the rest of the season. New player Nitin Panwar will be joining the team from 1st week of February," the statement from Dabang Delhi read.

Ajay Thakur has made a mere five appearances for the Dabangs this season and has scored 4 raid points. The World Cup winner had earlier in an exclusive interaction with The Bridge mentioned that he is in the team not as the main but as a support raider to Naveen Goyat.
