PKL 11 playoffs Highlights: Patna Pirates, UP Yoddhas book semi-final spot

Two contrasting matches to cap off the Eliminator day at the 2024 Pro Kabaddi League. While the Jaipur Pink Panthers were absolutely blown away by UP Yoddhas in the first match, Patna Pirates romped home slow and steady against U Mumba.

Curtains drawn on the season for the Pink Panthers and Mumba – the first two champions of this highly entertaining league.

As for the Yoddhas and Pirates, they have their semi-finals tomorrow.

PATNA PIRATES WINN!

Patna Pirates are through to the SEMI-FINALS!

U Mumba put up a decent fight, but this was always comfortable for Patna Pirates. Ayan emerges as the star for the three-time champions, keeping them afloat when they were put under pressure in the second half. 

Dabang Delhi awaits Patna Pirates in the semi-finals. However, it is disappointment yet again for U Mumba!

Patna Pirates might have this in the bag now. The three-time champions have suddenly upped their game and have left U Mumba far behind. The Pirates lead by 9 points with just under four minutes left.

A do-or-die raid for Patna and Ayan has finally faltered. A very vital moment in the match for U Mumba, if they are to force their way back into this match.

Ayan once again brings Patna to four men from three with a touch on Lokesh, before Zafardanesh is tackled in a do-or-die raid. Mumba are falling behind in this contest.

U Mumba are not going down without a fight. They are applying constant pressure and Patna are feeling the heat. The three-time champions have had two self-outs in the second half so far and are staying afloat, thanks to Ayan's individual brilliance.

U Mumba trail by five points with just under 10 minutes left as we take the second time-out of the match.
