PKL: Haryana Steelers secure victory over Telugu Titans; Dabang Delhi edge past Paltan
Haryana Steelers avenged their earlier loss with a 46-25 win over Telugu Titans, while Dabang Delhi K.C. edged past Puneri Paltan 30-26 in an exciting PKL clash.
It was a night of intense action at the Badminton Hall in Balewadi Stadium as Haryana Steelers and Dabang Delhi K.C. both emerged victorious in their respective matches in the Pro Kabaddi League (PKL) Season 11.
Haryana Steelers started their match with a bang, dominating the Telugu Titans with a commanding 46-25 victory.
This win was especially sweet as it avenged their previous loss to the Titans earlier in the Noida leg. Led by Shivam Patare, who finished with 12 points, the Steelers controlled the game from start to finish.
Patare’s stellar performance, along with key contributions from raiders like Vinay and Mohammadreza Shadloui, helped Haryana inflict two All-Outs on the Telugu Titans in the first half alone.
The Steelers took a massive 19-point lead at halftime, and despite a late surge from the Titans, the gap proved insurmountable, with Haryana finishing the match 21 points ahead.
In the second match of the evening, Dabang Delhi K.C. secured a thrilling 30-26 win over Puneri Paltan.
The match was a nail-biting affair, with both teams evenly matched throughout. Ashu Malik was once again the standout performer for Delhi, finishing with 13 points and securing his 14th Super 10 of the season.
The match saw several lead changes, with Puneri Paltan staying competitive through strong defensive plays and raids from Mohit Goyat and Akash Shinde. However, a decisive Super Raid from Ashu Malik and timely tackles in the closing minutes ensured Dabang Delhi K.C. clinched the win, edging past the Paltan in a dramatic finish.
