ISL 2022-23: Kerala Blasters wins 1-0 against Odisha FC- Highlights
Sandeep Singh scored the only goal.
Kerala Blasters move up to third with a win against Odisha FC on Monday in the Indian Super League. It was Sandeep Singh's solitary strike which earned Ivan Vukomanovic's men all three points.
The Juggernauts dominated most of the first half, pressing high and forcing errors and fouls from Kerala Blasters. and it worked well most of the time. Both sides had strong defensive stances and handled all incoming threats very well.
Odisha were so close to scoring, but Raynier Fernandes' shot hit the crossbar and went wide. There was a lot of pressure on the KBFC defence, but the hosts stood their ground. After that, KBFC began to play effectively, but missed many clear-cut opportunities.
Kerala Blasters came from the break determined and they began the half on a high note, however Odisha came back to their best shortly after. Odisha Fc subbed off Victor Rodriguez, and lost the control in the middle of the park. Sahal Samad and Adrian Luna were highly impactful in the last twenty five minutes.
A big mistake from Amrinder Singh, and Bryce Miranda crossed the ball from the left. Amrinder Singh came out to punch it but missed. It falls to Soraisham Sandeep Singh who had an empty goal in front of him. Sandeep headed it into the net sending the crowd to ecstasy.
Nihal Sudeesh who came as a subsitute stayed as a threat for the entire time. Kerala Blasters have moved up to third position with this win.
