ISL 2022-23: Birthday boy Cleiton gives East Bengal rare win against Kerala Blasters FC- As it happened

East Bengal finally have their first win over Kerala Blasters in the Hero ISL. It was a must win game for the men in yellow as they are yet to be qualified for the playoffs.
The initial 20 minutes were pure domination from Kerala Blasters and after that, the game was in the hands of East Bengal. The home side was constantly knocking on the doors and finally it was Cleiton Silva who scored the only goal at the 77th minute.
Mobashir was given marching orders in the dying minutes of the game but the Blasters could not take advantage of it. Kerala Blasters remain at the third spot with 28 points while East Bengal are on the 9th position.
