ISL 2022-23: Odisha FC comeback to win 4-2 against East Bengal- Updates, Scores, Results
Pedro Martin was the star of the match who scored a brace off the bench.
Odisha FC defeated East Bengal 4-2 in the Indian Super League on Friday at the Yuba Bharati Kriranga stadium, Kolkata. Josep Gombau's men pulled off an incredible comeback from trailing by two goals at half-time to securing all three points.
The first-half was clad in Red and Gold as East Bengal played good football with Semboi Haokip and Naorem Mahesh Singh scored the two goals, both created by VP Suhair. The Juggernauts needed some backup which came in the form of Pedro Martin.
The Spaniard came on at half-time and scored twice within the span of a minute early in the second half. After the scales were balanced, East Bengal players looked hapless and went on to concede two more goals with Jerry and Nanda Kumar getting themselves on the scoresheet as well.
This was the third time in five matches that Odisha FC have come from behind to win the match. They are now sitting at third position with 12 points, whereas East Bengal remain at 8th.
