In this season of Indian Super League (ISL), ATK has found it hard to grab any points against Kerala Blasters FC as the former recently succumbed to losses in both the fixtures against the Keralite side. But the gaffer of the men in red-and-white has seemed to have grabbed some positive out of the odds; as he has found a man of his choice among the Tuskers.

Kerala Blasters FC player Jessel Carneiro has bagged an offer from the two times ISL champions ATK FC as The Bridge can confirm.

The 29-year-old Goan left-back had joined the Blasters this season from Dempo SC for his debut season in the ISL. Jessel came into the spotlight for the first time after his terrific performance for the Goan side as they went on to become runners-up in the Santosh Trophy 2018, prompting the Kerala-based ISL side to sign him.

Jessel has repaid the faith of Kerala coach Eelco Schattorie, going on to become a regular starter and a key player for the Blasters, and has already secured two assists. The defender spent most of his youth career with Goan giants Dempo FC from where he went on to play for Pune FC in the I-League.

He has always been fairly acclaimed for his passing accuracy along with his defensive skills, which has caught ATK coach Antonio Lopez Habas' eye. Jessel has a one-season contract with his current side, but Kerala Blasters have not shown any interest in extending the contract. If his contract runs out, ATK's offer might interest the side-back.

ATK has utilized the transfer window very wisely having made some of the biggest moves in ISL history. The flying tigers this time has procured a lot of options in all of their playing positions except in the left-back. They have only two left-backs currently, Sumit Rathi and Ricky Lallawmawma, under their roaster.

Ricky had played a key role under Steve Coppell last season but has struggled to bag a single appearance under Antonio Lopez Habas. The two time ISL champions are in search of some good options in the left-back position who can fit into Habas' style of play and Jessel Carneiro seems to be the for ATK.
