It made a poor start by conceding the lead to the Kalinga Lancers in the fifth minute of the match, but a goal before half-time saw the side making a roaring comeback and winning the match 5-3 to keep its semifinal hopes alive.
With this win, Soorma Hockey Club rose to the third spot with 17 points from nine games.
