Indian women's team failed to qualify for the quarter-final of the ongoing Junior Hockey Women's World Cup after losing 2-3 to Belgium in the last group stage game.
India needed a win to qualify for the quarters after winning big against Canada and losing closely to Germany in the first two matches.
Although Belgium took an early lead in the match, India was always in the hunt to come back. Annu scored two quick goals and made it 2-2 in the final quarter but the Indian team conceded again to make it 2-3.
Belgium hold onto their lead to ensure a quarter-final berth and Germany's win over Canada knocked out India completely.
