Indian men's junior hockey team started their campaign at Junior Hockey World cup 2023 with a solid 4-2 win over South Korea in the first match of the group stage.
Araijeet Singh Hundal scores a hattrick to hand India all three points in the encounter. Araijeet started the scoring after converting a penalty corner in the 11th minute and India ends the first quarter with a 1-0 lead.
He converted his brace just with the start of second quarter in the 16th minute to double the lead of Indian team. India takes a 3-0 lead at half time after Amandeep converted a field goal.
South Korea bounce back in second half with two goals from the penalty corner but wasn't enough to stop Indian team and lose the match.
Alongside South Korea, India is clubbed with Spain and Canada in the group C.
