India finishes an underwhelming world cup campaign after defeating Asian Champions Japan 3-1 in the classification match. Navneet Kaur scored twice and Deep Grace Ekka scored a penalty corner as India finish their WC campaign in 9th position.
India will move ahead and get ready for the upcoming Commonwealth Games in Birmingham.

Japan took an early lead courtesy of a brilliant penalty corner goal by Asai Yu. India started applying pressure after falling behind and they found the equalizer when Navneet scored a reverse hit 30 seconds before the half-time whistle.
