Ranchi hosted a crucial Hockey India League pool game between the Kalinga Lancers and Shrachi Rarh Bengal Tigers, as both teams aimed to break into the top half of the standings.
Locked at 12 points each, the Lancers, with a game in hand, were under pressure to secure a win.
The Shrachi Rarh Bengal Tigers defeated Vedanta Kalinga Lancers 5-3 in the thrilling match.
Jugraj scored twice, while Abhishek added one, and Pardeep Singh Sandhu sealed the victory.
Alexander Hendrickx netted a penalty corner for the Lancers, alongside goals from Thierry Brinkman and Angad Singh, but it wasn’t enough to overcome the Tigers’ strong performance
