HIL: Tamil Nadu Dragons hands UP Rudras its first loss – Highlights

50' - CHANCE MISSED, DRAGONS!

Thomas Sorsby with a brilliant run down the left this time for Tamil Nadu Dragons. He also puts in a beautiful cross to Blake Govers inside the circle.

The Australian dives full stretch to find a deflection to an empty goal, but fails to get any connection. That could have been a second goal for the Dragons.

48' - DRAGONSSS SCOREE!

Floris Wortelboer with an impressive run for UP Rudras, but he is stopped at the top of the circle by Tom Craig. Craig then creates a counter attack and goes on a run of his own.

He finds Nathan Ephraums with an excellent pass, who takes the shot. But it is saved by James Mazarelo. Abharan Sudev finds himself just at the right spot to pounce on the rebound and he lifts his stick and taps the ball into the net.

Tamil Nadu Dragons take the lead.

END OF THIRD QUARTER!

Another exciting phase of play, but the scorers are still not troubled. Both teams had decent chances aned they continue to be evenly matched.

The Dragons would like to be a bit cleaner in the defence though, having given away three penalty corners compared to the zero they have managed to secure for themselves.

Will we have a result in the next 15 minutes? Or will there be yet another shootout?

41' - A chance missed by Dragons!

Uttam Singh with a good run in from the right and he lobs the ball in the air for a rushing Tom Craig. However, the attempt goes over the post. They had James Mazarelo in trouble there, do the Dragons.

36' - Tamil Nadu Dragons lose their review

The Dragons come on an attack of their own and they feel there's a back stick inside the circle from an UP Rudras defender. The on field umpire doesn't feel so and the Dragons ask for a review.

The replays confirm there was no back stick. The Dragons lose their review.

36' - SAVE, HARTE!

The UP Rudras come on yet another attack and Sam Ward earns them a penalty corner from the right. Not a lot of drama this time around as David Harte saves Russell's drag flick and has the rebound shots under control as well.

34' - GOAL DISALLOWED, RUDRAS!

A penalty corner for UP Rudras and they have scored. An inch perfect injection from Hardik Singh. An good trap by Jobanpreet and then a powerful drag flick from Kane Russell to top it off.

Russell beats the goalkeeper to his right and the Rudras are celebrating.

But hang on, the Tamil Nadu Dragons have asked for a review almost immediately. For what? Oh, they feel the Rudras have trapped the ball inside the circle and not let it reach where it was supposed to. 

The Dragons are proven right and the goal is disallowed.

33' - Good run from Chandan Yadav

Chandan Yadav with a good push forward from the right flank for Tamil Nadu Dragons. He was challenged physically, but did well to keep the ball in his control and pass to Uttam Singh inside the circle.

Uttam, is however, surrounded and fails to get the ball out of the baseline on the right side of the goal.

31' - Back for the second half

We are back for the second half. UP Rudras will get us underway.

Barely anything to separate the two sides as we head into halftime at a stalemate. Who will open the scoring - @tndragonshockey or @UPRudras?
