HIL Highlights: Delhi SG Pipers win on shoot-out against Team Gonasika

HIL Highlights: Argentina's Tomas Demene with a brace as the Hockey India League returned after seven long years with Delhi SG Pipers beating Team Gonasika in a thrilling shoot-out at the Birsa Munda Hockey Stadium in Rourkela on Saturday.
The match ended 2-2 in regulation time and both teams shared points, but the Delhi SG Pipers pipped Team Gonasika 4-2 in the shoot-out to win a bonus point.

Thimmaiah with a shot in the circle onto Rohit and the umpire hands Team Gonasika a Penalty Corner. Delhi SG Pipers ask for a review and are proven correct. It was Rohit's stick and not his leg.

14' - Manpreet MISSES!
Manpreet Singh with a great steal in the mid-field and creates a chance. The ball finds Jack Waller, who drives it in ferociously to Manpreet, who is inside the circle by this time.
Manpreet fails to connect his shot altogether and that is a good chance gone begging for Team Gonasika, much to the dismay of the Rourkela crowd.

The Graham Reid coached side seems to be growing in confidence with each passing minute. They enjoy a majority of the possession, whereas Team Gonasika are still testing the waters.
