From Harmanpreet Singh to Jugraj, here are the top five Indian expensive players from men's Hockey India League auctions.

The men's players' auction of the Hockey India League 2024 ended with two days full of intense bidding, arguments, and tactical picks by the eight teams playing in the tournament.
While some teams got the players they wanted, some had to engage in a bidding war while some fell back to a Plan B to get a different player once their first choice was gone.
All these things added up in teams making big bids and breaking the bank for their preferred choice.

#1 Harmanpreet Singh- 78 lakhs- Soorma Hockey Club
As expected Indian skipper and one of the deadliest drag flickers in the world, Harmanpreet Singh was the most expensive player overall. Soorma HC broke the bank to buy him for 78 lakhs after a bidding war with Delhi SG Pipers, UP Rudras, and Team Gonasika.
With Harmanpreet Singh in the team, Soorma HC has a captain and a solid defender for their team. His arrival is going to bring in a lot of fans as he is the face of Indian hockey leading the team to a bronze medal at the 2024 Paris Olympics.
#2 Abhishek- 72 lakhs- Rarh Bengal Tigers
India's best striker at the moment and known for his outrageous shot-making abilities in the circle, Abhishek ensued a bidding war and was picked up by Rarh Bengal Tigers for a sum of 72 lakhs.
The young Indian striker has an Olympic medal in his kitty and is one of the most exciting players of recent times.
#3 Hardik Singh- 70 lakhs- UP Rudras
UP Rudra's coach Paul Van Ass had a cheeky smile on his face when he won the bid for Indian vice-captain for 70 lakhs. He knew he had a player around who he could build a team.

A backup drag flicker to Harmanpreet Singh in the Indian team, Jugraj Singh is one of the speediest drag flickers in the world.
While Jugraj missed out on an Olympic medal as he was traveling with the Indian team as an alternate player, he created a bidding war and was snapped by Rarh Bengal Tigers for 48 lakhs.
