2026 FIH Women's World Cup Highlights: India went down 0-2 to reigning world champions Netherlands in Pool E of the 2026 FIH Women's World Cup on Friday.
It marked India's first loss of the campaign and puts them in a precarious spot regarding their future in the tournament.
Salima Tete and co conceded too many PCs and Netherlands took advantage via Yibbi Jansen and Fredrique Matla to secure a comfortable victory.

5' - SAVE, BICHU DEVI!
A good run in from the right flank to penetrate the circle from Netherlands. They feel they have pushed the ball to an Indian defender's foot.
The on field umpire doesn't agree and Netherlands ask for a review.
They are proven right. The ball did touch Jyoti's foot. That's another PC for Netherlands.
Will Yibbi Jansen score again?
The drag flick is on target, but Bichu Devi is up to the mark this time. A similar shot, but the Indian goalkeeper read it well to block it.
The rebound is cleared away as well.
