2026 FIH Women's World Cup Highlights: India went down 0-2 to reigning world champions Netherlands in Pool E of the 2026 FIH Women's World Cup on Friday.
It marked India's first loss of the campaign and puts them in a precarious spot regarding their future in the tournament.
Salima Tete and co conceded too many PCs and Netherlands took advantage via Yibbi Jansen and Fredrique Matla to secure a comfortable victory.

Netherlands earn a penalty corner in the dying moments. Yibbi Jansen's drag flick is blocked by the post woman Ishika Chaudhary before Netherlands are handed a second.
The injection for the second attempt is a bit off and they try a variation. It is Jansen, who takes the shot at goal eventually, but Savita Punia blocks.
