40' - Argentina miss 2 PCs!

Princedeep with another good save for India before Argentina push the ball to Amir Ali's feet to earn a penalty corner.

They try a variation with the first attempt but the Indian defence aren't to be fooled. The ball, however, lands on the feet of one of them, handing Argentina a second PC.

It is Nicolas Rodrigues with a direct drag flick in the second attempt. It seemed destined to go in but Priyobarta Talem has it in control with a brilliant interception.

Argentina ask for a review as they feel the ball hit Talem on the body, but replays show it was the glove. Argentina lose their review.

38' - Argentina miss PC!

After parking the bus for most of the second quarter and early third, Argentina seem to be coming alive now. They have earned a penalty corner. 

The drag flick is on target and Princedeep averts the danger for India with a double save before Amir Ali clears the ball away from nearly the goal-line to ensure India emerge unscathed out of it.

37' - A chance missed for Argentina

Argentina create a counter attack with a brilliant aerial ball into the circle. Santiago Fernandez recieves cleanly and Princedeep is down from his post to cut down the angle.

Fernandez manages to outplay the goalie and put the ball to Facundo Falchetto, who has somehow missed putting it into the goal post. Lucky for India!

36' - India continue from where they left off

India continue to push forward but its the same old story inside the circle. They lack the precision in front of the goal and it seems all too easy for the Argentina defence at the moment.

31' - India miss 4 back-to-back PCs!

India on the attack straightaway and they penetrate the circle. Dilraj does well to push ball to a defender's feet and that's the first penalty corner of the match.

The first drag flick from Rohit is blocked by the goalkeeper and raises high, handing India the second. The second hits a rusher's foot and India have the third.

India try a variation as Rohit from the second battery pulls the ball back to Anmol Ekka. The latter loses his balance and there's no real shot taken but, he has somehow managed to earn another PC.

This time the ball lands in the first battery to Ekka and his drag flick flies way over the goal post. 

Will this come to haunt India?

We are back LIVE for the second half. India start with the possession, moving from right to left.

HALF TIME!

The hooter sounds and that's the end of the first half of play. India conceded early in the first quarter after Argentina won a penalty stroke and have since played the catch-up.

The hosts were clearly more dominant in the second quarter, enjoying a majority of the possession as well as attacking relentlessly. The Argentina defence, however, has stood tall to deny India the equaliser.

The interesting part though is the fact that neither of the teams have earned any penalty corners after 30 minutes to play.

PR Sreejesh will have loads to speak in the half time break. Can India bounce back?

28' - Sunil finds the net with no touch

Sunil slaps the ball into the circle from the right flank and there's no one for a touch inside the circle for India. The Argentine goalkeeper just lets the ball through into the net. 

The crowd erupts but the goal won't count since there was no touch or deflection from any player inside the circle.

25' - India continue to build on the pressure

India continue to press forward and pose some tough questions to Argentina. The visitors' defence is water tight and the fact that hosts have been a bit tentative inside the circle has helped Argentina.

20' - India are growing in confidence

India looking confident on the field now. They are a lot more fluid in moving the ball around and are creating chances. The Argentine defence, meanwhile, is rock solid. But it feels just a matter of time before India equalise.

Just as I type this, Dilraj has a shot at the goal and Argentina require the goalkeeper to save them the blushes. India attempt a rebound as well but the ball has hit Dilraj on the foot there, bringing that move to a premature end.
