The inaugural edition of FIH Hockey 5s - a shorter format of field hockey kickstarted today. Both the Indian men's and women's team played two matches each with the latter losing both their contests against much lower ranked sides.

End of the first half and this feels weird with just one goal scored. That shot from Rashmita has given the advantage, but India cannot breathe easy as the Polish women have looked very meancing.

A nice little change of flanks from left to right and Mahima has a clear shot at goal. It goes straight to the keeper though.

First goal of the match and it comes from the stick of Rashmita. She was probably the farthest Indian from the goalpost, but finds a gap. A powerful flick follows and it is well directed as well. GOALLLL!
