Australia hopes to keep up with form as they take on India in Hockey Pro League

The Australian team is looking forward to giving a boost to their confidence ahead of the Olympics as they take on the Indian Hockey team after their fresh win against Great Britain.

Soon after arriving here on Sunday night, the skipper of the three-time world champions admitted that world no.4 India would be a tough nut to crack in front of the home crowd.

"I think it serves us a good preparation to be facing India away from home in this important Olympic year. Their team also has done well so far, so we are also looking forward to playing them here," Australian team captain Aran Zalewski told PTI upon his arrival.

"We also have a week to prepare for the matches, so we are hoping we can acclimatise with the conditions and put up a strong show on the weekend."

With four wins out of five matches, the Australian team is fifth in the points table and, while India has won three out of four matches and is third on the points table. They lost their first match against the defending champions, Belgium.

"We are delighted to be back here in Bhubaneshwar to face the Indian team. It's been a mixed start for us in the pro-league so far so we are hoping to face a tough fight against the hosts."
