A thrilling lineup of top golfers from India and around the world will gather at the DLF Golf and Country Club for the Hero Women’s Indian Open next month.

The tournament, running from October 24 to 27, will feature seven winners from the current Ladies European Tour (LET) season and offers a prize pool of $400,000.

Now in its 16th year, this premier women's golf event has become a key fixture in the sport.

Last year, three Indian players finished in the top ten, showcasing the growing strength of Indian golf.

Among the confirmed participants are three former champions: Christine Wolf (2019), Camille Chevalier (2017), and Caroline Hedwall (2011). Players who won tournaments in both the 2023 and 2024 seasons will also join the competition, alongside top Indian talent.

The Hero Women’s Indian Open has been a stepping stone for many golfers, including those who have gone on to excel on the LPGA tour.

Past champions include golfing legends like Laura Davies and Yani Tseng, who won the inaugural event in 2007 and later reached World No. 1.

This year’s field features impressive talent from England, including Annabel Dimmock (KPMG Women’s Irish Open champion), Alice Hewson (VP Bank Swiss Ladies Open winner), and Amy Taylor (Ladies Italian Open victor).

Other notable competitors include Perrine Delacour from France, Manon De Roey from Belgium, Chiara Tamburlini from Switzerland, and Shannon Tan from Singapore.

In 2016, Aditi Ashok made history as the first Indian to win the Hero Women’s Indian Open. Amandeep Drall came close in 2022, finishing tied for second, while Diksha Dagar, one of only two Indian golfers to win on the LET alongside Aditi, secured third place in 2023.

As the tournament approaches, excitement is building for what promises to be a remarkable display of talent and competition.
