India’s Vibhu Tyagi has emerged victorious in the Junior Men's category at the recently concluded 14th World Golf Deaf Championship in Australia.

His impressive performance also secured him a commendable fourth place in the men's category.

Tyagi finished +15 to par with scores of 82, 75, 73, and 73 on a par-72 course. His journey included 9 birdies, 18 bogeys, and 3 double bogeys, all three double bogeys were concentrated in the first round.

After a horrible first round, Tyagi bounced back with near-perfect performances in the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th rounds. He registered the best scores for a junior during the last three rounds, which eventually led to his victory.

Another Indian competitor in the fray, Harsh Singh also showcased his talent, finishing fourth in the junior section and 9th overall in the men's category with a +32 to par finish.

Russell Bowie of Canada clinched the overall men’s section with a total subpar score of 284, i.e. -4 to par, while the women’s section winner was the French Margaux Brejo with an impressive -7 to par score.

Margaux Brejo also won the Junior women's event at the championships, marking a double victory.

This championship marks a significant achievement for Indian golf, with both Tyagi and Singh demonstrating their prowess on the international stage.
