Everything was going well till US-based survey platform, San Bass Media launched an online poll between the fans of Kerala Blasters and Indonesia's Persib Bandung.

The Blasters pipped their Indonesian counterparts by a margin of 50.6% to 49.4%. Both sets of fans engaged in social media banter and that led so far that Kerala Blasters fan club Manjappada lost its official fan page on Facebook. KBFC fans got trolled and ended up spamming and winning the poll by bots which those Indonesian fans discovered.

KBFC fans later posted some meme of elephant stamping Persib's logo and got reported and all IDs suspended. This is what led to their fan club lose account on Facebook. They used an elephant because the Kerala Blasters are known as tuskers which their logo also exhibits.
