The Indian senior men's team head coach Manolo Márquez, on Tuesday, announced 26 probables for the FIFA International Friendly against Malaysia to be played on November 18 at the GMC Balayogi Gachibowli Stadium in Hyderabad.

A prominent name that features on the list is that of Sandesh Jhingan.

Earlier this year, Jhingan injured his right knee during the AFC Asian Cup 2023 match against Syria on January 23, 2024.

Thereafter, the Indian defensive mainstay underwent two surgeries and was out of competitive football for over nine months.

Jhingan returned to competitive football on November 4, 2024 in a home match against Bengaluru FC. He played the full 90 minutes and helped FC Goa secure their first clean sheet in seven games.

The Indian team will assemble in Hyderabad for the training camp on November 11.

The probables for the Malaysia fixture

Defenders: Aakash Sangwan, Anwar Ali, Asish Rai, Chinglensana Singh Konsham, Hmingthanmawia Ralte, Mehtab Singh, Rahul Bheke, Roshan Singh Naorem, Sandesh Jhingan.

Midfielders: Anirudh Thapa, Brandon Fernandes, Jeakson Singh Thounaojam, Jithin MS, Lalengmawia Ralte, Liston Colaco, Suresh Singh Wangjam, Vibin Mohanan.
