India has announced themselves in the ongoing SAFF U-20 Championship 2022 after thumping Sri Lanka 4-0. The win comes as a huge boost to the young team's confidence after losing to Bangladesh in their competition opener.
The likes of Himanshu Jangra, Gurkirat Singh, and Parthiv Gogoi were instrumental in India's win, all of them contributing in the way of goals and assists. Gogoi scored a brace, both goals being assisted by Jangra and Singh respectively.
India will play their third match on Sunday 31st July against an in-form Nepal, who also happen to be the table toppers currently.
