India U17 booked their place in the SAFF U17 Championship final with a dominant 3-0 win over Nepal U17 at the Racecourse International Stadium. The Blue Colts started strongly but struggled to break down a resilient Nepal defence in the first half, and the teams went into the break goalless.
The breakthrough came in the 60th minute, when Gunleiba Wangkheirakpam (#20) capitalised on a loose ball after a midfield pass from Korou Meitei Konthoujam (#12) to smash home a sublime finish. India doubled their lead in the 79th minute through Azlan Shah Kh (#15), who produced a brilliant solo run and left-footed strike despite pressure from the Nepal defence.
The win was sealed deep into stoppage time when Diamond Singh Thokchom (#11), coming off the bench, finished expertly from a precise Gunleiba Wangkheirakpam (#20) cross.
With this commanding victory, India advance to the final for the second consecutive edition, keeping their hopes of defending the title alive. The Blue Colts will now await the winner of the other semi-final for a shot at glory.
