SAFF U-20 Women's Championship 2023: India wins 12-0 v/s Bhutan- As it happened
India opens their tournament with a thumping victory.

India opens their SAFF U-20 Women's Championship 2023 with a 12-0 win against Bhutan. There were three hat-tricks in the Indian camp with two other players contributing with goals.
The first half saw a nervy India, lobbing the ball up front in the hopes of finding Apurna Narzary up front, but the offsides were coming thick and fast. Slowly, the found their footing and the goals came.
It was Narzary's brace, Nitu's redeeming shot after a colossal open-goal miss, and Neha's brilliant solo run down the left flank amounted to a four-goal lead at half time.
In the second half, India ran riot as substitute Lynda Kom joined the party and and scored a 14-minute hat-trick. Even Anita Kumari chipped in with a second-half hat-trick, as she interplayed excellently with Neha to help the latter to get her hat-trick.
India takes on Bangladesh next on 5th February at 6:30 pm IST.
