Mohun Bagan Super Giant’s passionate supporters made history during their match against Jamshedpur FC by unveiling what is claimed to be Asia’s largest-ever tifo at the Vivekananda Yuba Bharati Krirangan (Salt Lake Stadium) in Kolkata, on Saturday.

The stunning visual, spanning an impressive 12,600 square feet (210 x 60 feet), was created by the Mariners’ Arena fan group.

The tifo was a tribute to the foreign players and their families who have contributed significantly to the club’s legacy.

This massive display surpassed the previous record of 11,752 square feet, held by Kerala Blasters’ fan group Manjappada, which was set during their 2022 Indian Super League (ISL) match against Bengaluru FC.

While the ISL has yet to officially confirm the claim, the stadium announcer enthusiastically declared it the largest tifo in Asia, further igniting fan pride.

The tifo, showcasing the creativity and dedication of Mohun Bagan’s supporters, added to the electric atmosphere at the iconic venue.

Mariners’ fans have once again demonstrated their unrivaled commitment, setting a benchmark for fan culture in Indian football.

On the pitch, Mohun Bagan outplayed Jamshedpur FC with a commanding 3-0 victory, propelling them to the top of the ISL table. Goals from Tom Aldred, Liston Colaco, and Jamie Maclaren sealed the Mariners’ fourth win in five games, extending their impressive form this season.
