ISL: Jamshedpur FC stuns FC Goa in extra time- Major Talking Points
Jordan Murray's late strike meant that Jamshedpur FC will return from Fartoda Stadium with 3 points after defeating FC Goa 2-1.
Coached by Manolo Marquez, FC Goa was the dominant team from the kick-off in the ISL clash against Jamshedpur FC and took the lead via an Armando Sadiku strike in the first half.
Despite leading the game for the first 74 minutes, FC Goa first conceded a penalty which was converted by Javier Siverio, and was later stunned by Jordan Murray's strike in the extra time.
Manolo Marquez will find it tough to digest this loss while Khalid Jamil and his boys proved that Jamshedpur FC has the elements to surprise anyone in the season.

#5 Manolo Marquez displays frustration and anger after the result
FC Goa coach Manolo Marquez was visibly angry after his team's performance in the second half and lashed out at them in the post-match presentation.
"We only played well in the first 21 minutes, the second half was completely frustrating and I'm angry," said Manolo in a post-match presentation.
An angry and frustrated Coach Manolo was heard shouting something like, "Put white jersey" at his players after full-time. He also put his hands on the camera that followed him.
#4 Jordan Murray stunned Fartoda with an extra-time winner
The opening game week of ISL 2024-25 has seen a total of five extra time strikes with three coming in a winning cause, one resulting in a draw, and one in a losing cause.
Experienced campaigner Jordan Murray latched on to a pass from Mobashir Rahman and ran around his markers before unleashing a shot from outside the box that found the back of the net past a diving Kattimani.
Murray's goal meant that Jamshedpur FC returned from Fartoda Stadium with three points.
#3 The controversial penalty call
Indian Super League and controversial calls by referees is a match made in heaven.
One such moment arrived in the 74th minute that changed the course of the game. Odei Onaindia tugged Javi Siverio from the back and the referee pointed to the spot despite multiple protests from the FC Goa players.
Javi duly converted from the spot making it 1-1 and brought back Jamshedpur FC in the back.
Talking about the call, FC Goa coach Manolo Marquez said," Maybe refs aren't aware that he (Siverio) dives, But for me, it wasn't a penalty."
#2 Albino Gomes, Armando Sadiku, and the first goal
After a fiery start from FC Goa, they were rewarded with a goal when Armando Sadiku took a shot from outside of the box in the extra time of the first half.
Albino Gomes, who was terrific till that point, fumbled the grounded shot and his fumble resulted in the goal.
Sadiku tried more such things throughout the match painting a bright picture for the FC Goa fans on what they can expect from him.
# 1 A fiery start from FC Goa
Buoyed by the presence of the home fans, FC Goa started fiercely and had eight shots in the first eight minutes forcing Albino Gomes into multiple saves.
Goa's strong start meant that Jamshedpur FC was back defending with whatever they had got but as the game progressed, JFC became stronger with the usage of long balls.
The second half was dominated by Stephen Eze, who was solid defensively and presented a huge threat in the FC Goa box during set pieces.
